Medicaid

Medicaid is a federal program that provides health coverage to many Americans as part of the ACA. It especially benefits low-income adults and families. Medicaid is funded jointly by the state and federal government. Medicaid is a program that helps many families cover their medical and health-related expenses.

Unfortunately, despite a recent federal mandate to the contrary, medicaid in Illinois does not currently cover the cost of ABA therapy. Thankfully that doesn’t mean families currently on medicaid are without hope of getting insurance to cover their child’s ABA services.
